Nokia highlights popularity of mobile phone apps
Mobile phone applications have proved to a success around the world with a variety of devices now making use of them, allowing people to do more with their handset.
The Nokia Conversations blog took a look at what kind of apps 1,000 of its customers liked most in a recent poll.
It found that social networking proved popular, taking a 22 per cent share of the vote, while communications - allowing consumers to make free calls and more - came top of the list with 26 per cent.
People looking to do more with their mobile phone could wish to get their hands on a new device and could find that selling an old device with Mazuma allows them to do so.
The Wholesale Applications Community recently announced it hopes to create a service allowing companies to build and publish apps to users of all devices.
It hopes businesses will be able to start making use of the community by February 2011.
