Nokia eyes improved Snapdragon handset
Users could see the improved Snapdragon 800 chip in Nokia's Windows Phone 8-toting mobile phones in the future.
According to Techtastic, the Finnish manufacturer could be looking to emulate the success of a number of Android phones, which already have the next-generation Snapdragon chip enabled.
The blogging site has drawn this conclusion by monitoring a number of Nokia developer pages that list devices with the Snapdragon 800 inside, which would indicate the company has plans to pursue this hardware in the future.
Qualcomm, which makes the chip, has promised that it will be shipping out over the last few months and should be in more devices very soon.
The Snapdragon 800 supports a 2.3GHz quad-core processor along with Andreno 330 graphics. However, nothing has been confirmed by the company yet, so best to keep an open-mind until something is officially released.
