Nokia 'excels at producing affordable mobile phones'
Nokia's mobile phones have been recognised as models that typically offer users a generous amount of the latest features and technology for a particularly affordable price tag.
Asavin Wattanajantra, commenting on the Finnish brand's release of the X2-01 and the C2-01 for CNET UK, says readers can "say what you will about Nokia, [it] knows how to churn out cheap phones".
He suggests the C2-01 is a "run-of-the-mill" handset with the added advantages of a full qwerty keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera and 3G connectivity.
Meanwhile, the X2-01 is a great option for social networking fans on a budget, as Mr Wattanajantra explains it benefits greatly from access to the new Communities app.
"The C2-01 and X2-01 aren't going to blow anyone's mind, but they're the kind of affordable, functional devices that Nokia rolls out in its sleep," he notes, which could tempt some to recycle a used phone and put the money towards one.
Nokia announced the release of the models recently, coming on the back of the launch of both the N8 and the C7.
