Nokia Asha 310 budget mobile phone introduced
The Nokia Asha 310 has been introduced, and is set to cater for the entry-level market with low-end specifications and an affordable price tag.
The Finnish manufacturer has not confirmed release in the UK, but at a cost of $102 before tax, it is likely to put Brits back around £80 if it is made available.
Wi-Fi connectivity means that owners can watch YouTube videos, update their Facebook status and instant message friends over eBuddy without delay.
Buyers might also be able to take advantage of cheap data deals for on-the-go browsing, better tariffs on call minutes and lower text message costs by utilising dual-SIM capabilities.
Mobile internet will also allow them to benefit from the pre-loaded Nokia Apps navigation aid, as well as the Nearby web tool which shows users places of interest.
Nokia spokesperson Timo Toikkanen said: "Wi-Fi support gives users the freedom to enjoy much more of the internet compared to competitive devices at this price point."
The handset could therefore appeal to budget-conscious Brits who are looking to stay connected with the web wherever they go.
