Nokia announces updates for Windows Phone 8
Nokia has stated that it will release software updates for the Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and Lumia 620 mobile phones.
The firm has announced on its support discussions forum that the new software updates for the Lumia 820 and 920 will improve automatic display brightness adjustment along with other performance, display and stability improvements.
Lumia 620's update will address improvements to the touch screen, better voice quality with Bluetooth, enhanced camera performance and several other improvements.
According to the company, users will be notified that the update is available over the next few weeks as it is gradually released and exact versions may vary between regions.
A report yesterday indicated that Microsoft will also issue an update for Windows Phone 8 called the General Distribution Release (GDR3) that will allow the handset to support 1080p resolution as well as quad-core processors in a bid to compete with its Android rivals.
It is predicted that Microsoft is working on a Windows Phone 8 successor called the Windows Phone Blue.
