Nokia announces launch of Lumia 610
In a bid to get back to the top table of mobile phone providers in the world, Nokia has announced its most affordable Windows Phone to date with the launch of the Lumia 610.
The low-end smartphone is aimed at providing all the functionality of a standard Windows Phone 7 operating system but at a less premium price, so as to claw back the interest that was lost during the last 12 months after disastrous sales results.
It is set to be launched in the UK at some point during the second quarter of 2012 and the firm said this new design is aimed at a younger audience than its previous Lumia models.
In a statement introducing the phone, the Finnish firm confirmed it will come with access to games through Xbox Live, Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport and Nokia Music.
"The Nokia Lumia 610 makes it easy to keep in touch with friends, providing instant access to social networks and bringing all mobile, email, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn contacts into one place," the statement continued.
