Nokia Ace advertising could increase mobile phone recycling
04/01/2012
Microsoft is due to spend up to $100 million (£63.9 million) on a new advertising campaign in the coming weeks for the launch of the new Nokia Ace, which could see an increase in mobile phone recycling.
According to BetaNews, The Ace will launch in late March alongside a major marketing campaign through the principals of AT&T, Microsoft and Nokia.
"Microsoft will be spending heavily to promote Windows Phone, and that will likely include marketing subsidies for the coalition of the willing, in this case Nokia and AT&T," Endpoint Technologies president Roger Kay added.
Currently Microsoft's mobile platform has only been able to manage a 5.4 per cent share when compared to the market-leading Android with 46.3 per cent.
Nokia is set to hold a Windows Phone-related event on January 9th as part of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada and it is believed they will unveil The Ace at the exhibition.
