New Samsung Galaxy Tab could inspire people to sell mobile phones

Selling mobile phones may become a popular option over the coming weeks as consumers clear a space in their technology portfolio for the new Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The manufacturer has confirmed the tablet device is coming to the UK, offering a portable multimedia experience.

Named the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, the model has a practical and lightweight design, weighing just 345g and measuring 9.96mm.

Simon Stanford, managing director of mobile at Samsung UK, said: "The latest addition to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab range demonstrates our ongoing dedication to designing a variety of premium tablets and continued innovation to suit different needs and lifestyles."

Fast web browsing is assured, along with video capability, the potential to read e-books and connection to email services.

The announcement is not the only high-profile confirmation of a handset release made this week, as Apple has launched its new iPhone 4S – an upgrade on the iPhone 4.
