New Samsung Galaxy device to be launched in London
Samsung is set to launch the latest version of its flagship smartphone range Galaxy at a London event later on Thursday (May 3rd).
More than 20 million of the existing Galaxy SII have been sold since its launch in April 2011 and analysts say the success of the handset helped Samsung overtake Nokia as world's best mobile phone maker.
Changes in the new handset are set to include screen size, form factor and a higher-resolution camera.
The phone will be the first to feature its new Exynos 4 quad-core chip, which the firms states will double the processing capability of the device while using 20 per cent less energy.
Research vice president at tech analysis firm Gartner Carolina Milanesi said the experience that the consumer chip will offer is important.
"So less battery use, better touch response and the ability to better handle multitasking to let more operations be carried out simultaneously will all be noted," she continued.
