New Android system 'will speed up mobile phones'
Mobile phone users who desire a faster processing speed may wish to trade in their current device and instead opt for one with the new Android 2.2 operating system.
The latest upgrade to the technology is already being used by Google Nexus One owners in the US and should be available in the UK soon, review site T3 explains.
It is also due to be added to two HTC models - Desire and Legend - in the near future, potentially making these phones attractive to those who wish to benefit from Android 2.2.
Some of the advantages of the system include its speed, which is said to be six times faster than the benchmark, according to the website.
It will offer compatibility with Flash Support, meaning websites that use the feature will be accessible, while it should open up more memory space so that an increased number of apps can be downloaded and used.
People with a passion for apps may be especially keen to use an Android phone, with Vodafone recently launching a 360 shop just for those on the operating system to make downloads.
