Motorola Scores Double Announcement With Budget Phone Range

Motorola has hit the budget phone market hard this morning (May 13th) with two announcements about phones in its budget smartphone range that are likely to really shake up the market and give the company a competitive advantage.

As expected, the firm announced the presence of a new sequel to its popular cheaper device, the Motorola Moto G, when it lifted the lid at last on the Motorola Moto E.

It is the move that we all knew was going to happen for the past few weeks, and the rumours that have been doing the rounds for the past few weeks regarding specs and design appear to have all been spot on.

The phone will launch with a 4.3-inch, 960 x 540 256ppi display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 1980mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.

It is a move that could see Motorola gain a real advantage in the market for cheaper smartphones, as it will allow the company to bring a device that retains its low price, while also managing to pack some of the strongest specs available at that end of the market.

As well as this, the company is now also looking to upgrade the Motorola Moto G, giving it a new feature that is rarely ever seen on phones that come in at that end of the market - 4G connectivity.

The updated version of the Motorola Moto G will pack most of the same specs as the existing model when it comes to market, but with a few little tweaks that really could make it one of the most desirable cheaper phones on the market at the moment.

As well as 4G connectivity, the company has added a micro SD slot to the new version of the device, which should make it better and more attractive than ever before, encouraging more people to trade in their phones.
