Most Apple IOS 6 Users Have No Problem With Maps

Despite widespread coverage of apparent issues with the Apple iOS 6 Maps application, one-in-nine users have not experienced problems with the tool.

The Research/ChangeWave Research survey found that just three per cent of iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch owners believe that Apple Maps is a 'very big problem'.

The developer's latest iOS 6 operating system saw the pre-installed Google Maps replaced with an Apple version, which was created in partnership with satellite navigation manufacturer TomTom.

Motivation for this change may be due to a souring relationship between the two technology giants, which produce rival handsets and software.

However, consumers complained that the new app was plagued with errors. Apple chief executive Tim Cook even issued an apology to customers, admitting Maps "fell short" and advising users to try other applications.

Complaints do not seem to be deterring potential customers though, as 31 per cent of consumers claim they are likely to purchase an iOS 6-sporting iPhone 5 in the future.
