Mobile recycling could lead consumers to Google Goggles
Consumers who choose to recycling their mobile phones in the early part of 2011 may wish to consider a device powered by Android as a potential replacement.
That is because, according to Google Mobile blog authors Leon Palm and Jiayong Zhang, a new version of Google Goggles is now available to Britons.
And the best news of all is that it comes with plenty of innovative and exciting features ready to be tested out by mobile phone fans.
The pair explain the technology can read the barcodes of items in shops and give people more information – such as price comparisons and availability – about the product inside.
It can also be used to scan Sudoku puzzles and provide answers and clues in just a few seconds – something that might help owners impress their friends.
Among the brands that manufacture devices running on the Android operating system are HTC and Samsung.
