Mobile phones could help entrepreneurs obtain flexible lifestyle
Mobile phones help to make businesses more flexible, especially for entrepreneurs who go it alone, a new survey has suggested.
New research from YouGov and Orange has found 55 per cent of those who have already set up their own company did so because of the flexibility it offered.
Furthermore, 85 per cent of individuals said communications technology, such as mobile phones, made running a business from home easier.
Martin Stiven, vice-president of business at Orange, stated this can help Britons enjoy a more flexible lifestyle, adding: "It is likely that technology will play a key part in supporting companies in achieving these ambitions."
The poll also discovered 51 per cent of Britons aged between 18-50 have considered, or already have, established their own company.
Orange previously reported that 90 per cent of UK workers spend an average of up to an hour commuting everyday, time which could be made productive by using technology such as mobile phones and laptops.
