Mobile phone users offered rapid communication tool

Owners of the latest mobile phones have been given a way of keeping in touch with their friends and family in the fastest possible way.

Google has launched new technology that allows people to track all their latest calls and text messages, before flipping through and choosing which to reply to.

Marcus Foster, product manager and author of the latest Google Mobile Blog, says the Google Voice Inbox Widget is a useful tool.

Selecting a message through the widget will automatically open Google Voice, from where it is possible to listen to the chosen call.

And its capability does not end with receiving correspondence, as it is can also be used to produce rapid responses to associates, whether by voice or text, Mr Foster notes.

Google has this week launched a Walking Directions feature for mobiles powered by Android 4.5, allowing users to find pedestrian routes around their chosen city.
