Mobile phone users 'frustrated by iPhone 4 supply'
Apple may have frustrated a number of mobile phone customers by failing to satisfy demand for its new iPhone 4.
The company has expanded at a rapid pace thanks to its release of a brand new handset each June since 2007, iSuppli states.
However, it may have underestimated the number of people planning to secure its latest mobile phone, with many stores selling out of the iPhone 4 within hours.
Indeed, some consumers may now be looking elsewhere for their next device and could consider rivals such as BlackBerry and Nokia.
Approximately 21.7 million iPhone 4's will be shipped by Apple during 2010, the corporation announces.
But with 1.7 million sold within three days of trading in the US, UK, Japan, France and Germany, demand could be greater than ever before.
There were also problems with pre-orders, as the delivery date was pushed back twice and a freeze on purchases had to be invoked as Apple struggled to deal with requirements.
