Mobile phone users could benefit from trade-in before London Olympics
Selling a mobile phone and upgrading to a hi-tech model is likely to be a popular and shrewd move prior to the London Olympics in the summer of 2012.
Devina Divecha, writing for news and reviews site T3, explains this is because people could soon be able to access the internet from smartphones in locations that are currently impossible.
For example, tests are being carried out on bringing Wi-Fi to the London Underground network in time for the Games.
And similar plans are in place for the Channel Tunnel, meaning those who travel to and from the continent can stay connected throughout their journey.
"With mobile coverage on the London Underground and soon on the Channel Tunnel, London seems to be pulling out all the stops for the 2012 Olympics. We can't wait to see the result," the author states.
The London Olympics kick off on 27th July 2012 and run for just over two weeks.
