LG Optimus G Will Boast Best Smartphone Camera

A new video for the LG Optimus G claims the mobile phone will have the "world's best camera".

The camera is ultra slim and takes 13-megapixel photographs. According to LG Innotek's director of optical solution business, Hyeong-cheol Moon, this is the highest number of pixels found on any smartphone camera.

However, this version will only be available to customers in particular regions, as some places will only sell models with an eight-megapixel camera.

The device will have a 4.7-inch screen with True HD IPS+ display. This should make taking pictures more convenient for users.

It utilises the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but users should be able to upgrade to the newer Jelly Bean software soon.

The handset supports Near Field Communication (NFC), which allows owners to make payments with their device.

This technology is becoming popular in the mobile phone industry and many Apple fans will have been disappointed that the recently unveiled iPhone 5 didn't have the feature.
