LG Optimus G Pro premium mobile phone unveiled
Chinese manufacturer LG recently announced that the Optimus G mobile phone would go on sale around the world, and it has now unveiled an even more impressive Pro version.
NNT DoCoMo confirmed that the new device would go on sale in Japan this spring, but there is no information regarding global availability.
Google's Android Jelly Bean operating system will be pre-loaded onto the device, working alongside a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM to provide fast and smooth performance.
Just entering phablet territory, the handset will feature a high-resolution five-inch display, providing more real estate for watching videos and playing games.
It will match its predecessor by providing Long Term Evolution technology - facilitating 4G network connectivity - as well as Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities.
The handset could also sport a 13-megapixel camera, 3,000 mAH battery and 32 GB of internal memory, meaning it is safely in the high-end category.
