LG G2 Mini To Go Quad Core?

Benchmark results have indicated that one of LG's next mobile phones could be a fairly powerful handset.

Although the device has only surfaced under the LG D-410 codename, it is largely thought to be the LG G2 Mini.

Several companies have already released pint-sized versions of their flagship handsets, including Samsung with its Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC, which launched the HTC One Mini earlier this year.

Recent test results indicated that the LG G2 Mini could bring a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 540 x 960 display and come running Android's latest 4.4 KitKat software.

However, there has still been no word about when the device could be expected to reach UK consumers. With more details leaking, it's possible that the LG G2 Mini could be one of a number of smartphones to be launched at the CES 2014 event at the start of January.

LG could take a little more time and wait for the MWC 2014 during February to unveil its pint-sized device or it could have its own release date.
