LG G2 arrives
The LG G2 has finally been announced as the latest flagship mobile phone from the South Korean manufacturer.
As successor to last year's Optimus G, the handset brings with it a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and both 16GB and 32GB of internal storage variants. It also packs a 5.2-inch display and a 13-megapixel camera which will all be powered by a mighty 3,000mAh battery.
The slim device measures just 8.9mm thick but doesn't come with the latest version of Jelly Bean, as many were hoping, so users will have to suffice with Android 4.2.2.
LG has famously altered the design of its smartphone by shifting the volume and power buttons to the back of the device. It is thought this is to allow for better "one-handed operation".
Features like the Answer Me function enables users to pick up a call by pressing the volume button when the phone is next to your ear.
LG has said the G2 will hit the South Korean market first and then go on to North America and Europe over the next two months.
