LG confirm Qualcomm device
After several months of rumours, LG has announced it will be using the Qualcomm chip to produce its next G series mobile phone.
The chip supports the mighty Snapdragon 800 processor, which will be in the handset that succeeds the Optimus G device.
Although nothing has been confirmed the 5-inch handset will reportedly feature Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 13-megapixel camera, all of which will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
Qualcomm boasts that the Snapdragon 800 will deliver 75 per cent better battery performance than the S4 Pro processor and supports higher display resolutions, which will support the recording of Ultra HD video.
It will also be able to hit speeds of 2.3GHz and will make the next LG handset a powerful 4G-enabled device.
