Lego mobile phone details leaked

13/02/2009

Details of a mobile phone being developed by toy manufacturer Lego have been leaked on the internet.

The Danish company is looking to include an mp3 player and a digital camera inside the device, along with a walkie-talkie function.

Alcatel has been designing the mobile, which has a casing made from Lego's trademark colourful bricks.

Users of the slimline handset can modify it by removing the bricks and replacing them with ones of a different colour to suit their mood.

It is expected to cost between $20 (£13.78) and $60, according to the Telegraph, and will initially be targeted at the Asian and US mobile phone markets.

The Lego mobile is one of a number of novel handsets to hit the headlines in recent months.

Among the most notable of these is the mobile phone watch, which has been attempted by numerous companies over the last few years.
