Is Selling A Mobile And Switching To An Apple IPhone Now A Must For West Lo

The people of West Lothian in Scotland have been given a special reason to sell mobiles and use the money to invest in an Apple iPhone.

West Lothian Council has launched its own app for the US manufacturer's range of products, which include the iPhone, iPad and iPod.

According to the Guardian, there are several features to be enjoyed by those who download the tool from the App Store.

For example, it provides contact details, addresses and opening times for a number of council-run facilities and departments, while there is also the option of contacting the authority by email.

Graham Hope, chief executive of the council, said: "We have taken the first step by developing the App for Apple devices as almost three times as many people are using iPhones, iPads or iPods than other devices to access our website."

The BBC recently revealed that another popular app among Apple iPad users is the iPlayer tool, which has been downloaded 1.5 million times.
