IPhone App May Come In Handy For Mobile Users In Glasgow

Mobile phone users in the Scottish city of Glasgow may now have all the reason they need to recycle an old device and splash out on an iPhone.

The Glasgow City Marketing Bureau has designed an app that offers a plethora of information on the area's famous style mile.

Data on shops and restaurants, reviews, maps and suggestions are included on the app, which is available to owners of an iPhone, iTouch or iPad.

"The new app acts as your own personal shopping guide - helping seek out special offers and, for those who're visiting the city, steering them in the right direction," explains Susan Nicol, general manager of Glasgow's St Enoch Centre.

Downloading the style mile app may also be a wise move by those who plan to visit the city in the coming months.

People who do wish to snap up an Apple device and enjoy the guide can now purchase the iPhone 4, which was released in the UK in June.
