Intel Phones Could Be Fastest Ever

Intel's announcement at last week's Consumer Electronics Show that they would be introducing a smartphone in the near future has just become more exciting as tests have shown they could be the fastest smartphone ever seen.

Website Anandtech said benchmarking tests found the new Intel 'reference' phone was as good as those seen in tablets and has a class-leading test time when running Javascript, which could see hordes of people trying to sell their mobile phones to get an Intel device upon its launch.

The tests show that Intel's claims about its technology are largely correct and they claim battery life will be good as the device will only use one 'core' while rivals often use twin or quadruple processors, the Daily Telegraph reports.

“We don’t frankly see the need for dual core. Our single core with hyperthreading allows simultaneous applications – so we get much greater power efficiency," vice president of Intel's architecture group Dave Whalen said last week at the launch.

Intel announced it would be teaming up with Chinese PC manufacturer Lenovo and Motorola for its new smartphone.
