Huawei to bring 6.1-inch screen to Ascend
Huawei broke its own standards when it introduced its first mobile phone that sported a screen to surpass the six-inch mark. However, it now appears that the company wants to improve this feature further for its next Ascend handset.
The successor to the Huawei Ascend Mate, which was released earlier this year, is thought to boast a screen with much improved resolution.
According to Huawei News, the next smartphone from the company will carry a 6.1-inch, full HD 1080p display when it appears. The website also predicted that the device will also bring a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
It is thought that Huawei could be waiting for the CES 2014 in a couple of months time to uncover the brand new handset.
According to screenshots from the website, the upcoming Huawei smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 rather than the latest version of Jelly Bean or the latest Android operating system - KitKat.
