Huawei Ascend Mate 'has world's largest mobile phone screen'
Huawei has launched its new Ascend Mate, which is apparently "the smartphone with the largest screen in the world".
At 6.1 inches, the display is significantly larger than those found on phablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Although some users might find the device quite difficult to hold, the large HD display should be fantastic for playing games, watching videos and browsing the web. The company has even limited the size as much as possible, managing to create a device with an industry-leading screen-to-body ratio of 73 per cent.
The display also has Magic Touch, which improves responsiveness and allows users to control the device while wearing gloves.
An impressive 4,050 mAh battery alongside Quick Power Control (QPC) and Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX) technologies should help to limit charging.
Users can therefore spend more time taking advantage of the eight-megapixel camera, Google Play accessibility and smart reading functionality.
