HTC Opera UL – a dedicated Facebook mobile phone?
HTC, in collaboration with Facebook, is in the process of developing a mobile phone called the Opera UL, according to Pocket Lint.
The device will apparently use the Google Android Jelly Bean operating system, which is likely to be modified for optimal use with the social network.
There is also speculation that the gadget will have a 1.4-GHz dual-core processor and a four to five-inch HD screen.
Hundreds of millions of people use Facebook, and a huge proportion of members utilise their mobile phone for browsing the site and updating their profile.
Many have downloaded the application, which is available for free on Apple iOS, Google Android and Microsoft Windows Phone operating systems.
There is also a mobile version of the website, which has a layout designed for smaller mobile phone screens.
Many people like to be able to let their friends know what they are doing, chat with family, share photographs and play Facebook games on the go.
