HTC One microphone dispute means no delay
A court dispute earlier this week between Nokia and HTC forced the latter into having to source another microphone for its One mobile phone.
The issue was sparked up when HTC went to STMicroelectronics for microphone parts who are on an exclusive contract to deal only with Nokia.
This led Nokia to file an injunction against STM in the Netherlands, which stopped the company selling to anyone else for a period of time.
The Taiwanese manufacturer said it was "disappointed" with the decision and that it may have to explore other options.
However there is good news for HTC as it reports that the judgement won't affect when the One handset gets delivered.
The court ruling said that the company wouldn't have to remove any of the microphones that it had already bought and added to the current handsets.
It was also keen to point out that the firm had not been the target of the injunction. A company spokesperson said: "Nokia's attempt to obtain a recall of microphones already sold to HTC failed."
