HTC HD2 'a result of close Microsoft collaboration'
Those looking at recycling mobile phones for a new Microsoft-based gadget have been given another option this week.
HTC has confirmed consumers across Europe and Taiwan will see the new HD2 arrive in stores soon, as the handset has now begun shipping with Windows 6.5 onboard.
The corporation's chief executive officer, Peter Chou said the new model had been the result of a "close partnership" between both the hardware and software firms and this had led to a phone that had the user in mind.
He added the collaboration concentrated on "making the phone more simple and natural to use [thereby] enabling people to personalise their mobile experience in their own unique way".
Microsoft chief executive officer Steve Ballmer also said the HD2 would break new ground for the market and offered a screen "that people will love".
Other devices in the manufacturer's range that carry Windows include the HTC Touch Pro 2.
