Heavy Handed Mobile Phone Users May Be Best With IPhone 3GS

Britons with a habit of breaking things may find the Apple iPhone 3GS is a more suitable mobile phone for them than its successor, the iPhone 4.

Asavin Wattanajantra, writing a piece for CNET UK, explains new research released by a US warranty provider shows the older version of the revolutionary device is less prone to accidents.

Owners of the iPhone 4 are said to have reported 82 per cent more incidents with their handset during the first four months of use than 3GS consumers did in the corresponding period.

The study also illustrates 4.7 per cent of the people to possess the latest model have had an issue with it since it was launched in June, whereas just 2.8 per cent of 3GS users were forced to make a complaint.

Mr Wattanajantra suggests the screen of the latest update is more vulnerable, partly because it is about twice the size of its predecessor.

More than 1.7 million iPhone 4s were sold by Apple in the first three days of it being on sale in June.
