Have you used your mobile phone to keep up to date with the election?
Mobile phone users may have found themselves increasingly making use of their handset to keep up to date with the latest news.
In recent weeks the news has been largely dominated by the run up to the general election, which takes place tomorrow (May 6th).
Orange UK has recently conducted research to discover if changes in technology have altered this year's election campaign.
It discovered that more than half - 57 per cent - of adults surveyed online have read or received information about the election online in the course of the campaign.
Consumers may have found themselves looking up the latest news on their handset while on the move, or sharing their take on the events using social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
Simon Grossman, head of government policy at Orange UK, said: "It's amazing to think that in the last election in 2005, the likes of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and smartphone apps didn't exist, or held very little resonance."
