Google Nexus 4 Sold Out In The UK

The much-anticipated LG Nexus 4 mobile phone was released today (November 13th), but the UK Google Play store sold out of the device in less than an hour, according to reports.

Attractive price tags and impressive specifications have made the latest Google handset extremely popular.

The smartphone has a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass 2 screen, a Snapdragon S4 processor, eight-megapixel front-facing camera and 2 GB of RAM.

It is also the first mobile phone to be powered by Google's latest operating system, Jelly Bean 4.2.

Those who want to get their hands on the 8 GB device for £239 or the 16 GB version for £279 can now only enter their email address on the website to receive notification when stock is replenished.

Consumers may be able to get a device on a contract or on pay-as-you-go from O2, the telecommunications network which currently has exclusivity on the Nexus 4.

Pre-orders are available for the smartphone through other providers on the Carphone Warehouse website.
