Google Improvements Could Benefit Mobile Phone Users

Mobile phone users could be set to benefit from improvements made to Google on their handset.

Users could find that using the search engine on their handset is easier due to changes made by the website.

Consumers not currently using Android-powered phones or an Apple iPhone could consider recycling their old mobile to receive money towards purchasing one.

Google promises that users will see changes to the style of the buttons and toolbars on the site that will already be familiar to those who use its Mobile Gmail, Latitude, Calendar and Tasks.

The website said: "As with these Google apps, the colour contrast of the style now adds more focus to the search results of the page and the header controls are bigger to make them easier to touch."

Google adds that its logo has been moved to the top of the search results page, which has allowed it to increase the height and width of the search box, making it easier to touch.

Consumers could wish to consider mobile recycling as an option in order to receive cash to put towards a new Android or iPhone handset providing them with internet access.
