Google Chrome now available on iPhone and iPad
Google has announced that it is launching a new version of its Chrome browser, which will be available for users of iPhones and iPads.
The new download will be available from the Apple App Store this week and it will allow users to sync all of their tabs, bookmarks and credentials on all devices.
Currently, Opera offers a rival web browser for iOS called Opera Mini but Internet Explorer and Firefox are not available for Apple's products.
This announcement comes after the firm unveiled the new Nexus 7 tablet, which is also the first device to carry the latest operating system from Android, entitled Jelly Bean.
Chrome now has 310 million active users, which compares favourably to the 70 million it had just two years ago.
Google's Sundar Pichai claimed that Chrome users were on a "journey to the cloud, seamlessly" and also stated the search giant's popular Docs word processor is now available for offline use.
