Google Android Jelly Bean 4.2 to power LG Nexus 4 mobile phone
The LG Nexus 4 has been confirmed as the first mobile phone to be powered by Google's latest operating system - Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
The latest version of the software has Photo Sphere technology, which allows users to create 360-degree images.
Android 4.2 also has Gesture Typing, which for some users will be a faster and more convenient way of entering text.
People will be able to trace words on the keyboard without lifting a finger, rather than tapping each letter individually.
Akin to a feature that can be found on many PCs, Daydream allows devices to display photographs from the gallery or the latest news when idle.
The LG Nexus 4 will replace the Samsung Galaxy Nexus as the flagship Google device.
Consumers in the UK should be able to purchase the handset from Google Play as of November 13th. The 8 GB version will cost $299 (£185), while the 16 GB model will be $349.
