Google and Samsung open to BlackBerry bids
There may be some good news on the horizon for BlackBerry as some of the industry's biggest players are reportedly considering buying out the mobile phone manufacturer.
It's been no secret that the Canadian firm is struggling, but it appears that many companies, including Google, Samsung and Intel, are thinking about the potential of investing in it.
This is according to Reuters which suggests that these, and other companies, have shown interest after BlackBerry issued a desperate pleas for bidders. The report says that the firm has asked for "preliminary expressions of interest" from any company, before next week.
Although, the report makes no claims about whether any of the companies has actually submitted an offer for any part of BlackBerry's business.
However, if either of the big companies do take their "interest" further it could prove to be a solid investment. The Canadian manufacturer has a plethora of patents in its arsenal which could be of great value to either Samsung or Google.
