Geeksphone to hit EU on February 20
Geeksphone's Revolution mobile phone, which runs both Android and Mozilla Firefox, is expected to launch in Europe by the end of this month (February).
The handset gives people a chance to get a taste of the Firefox operating system, while still having the reliable and secure Android to fall back on.
Geeksphone has now announced that the Revolution will go on sale in Europe on February 20th for €289 (around £240). However, eager customers who want to pre-order will get €20 off that already reasonable price.
The smartphone will bring a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor, a 4.7-inch qHD, 2560 x 1440 display, 1GB RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and an eight-megapixel camera - all powered by a decent 2,000mAh battery. Though users will have to go without 4G connectivity.
Geeksphone also didn't state what version of Android the Revolution will be running, though it looks to be a version of Jelly Bean.
