First 4K-recording smartphone hits the market
Many mobile phone companies have been battling it out to realise the world's first device capable of recording ultra-HD quality video. However, Acer has beaten the bigger names to the title with its Liquid S2 handset.
The six-inch device has a full HD screen and comes with Android 4.2 and 16GB of internal storage. The phone's Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz processor powers the 4K video. An integral part of recording is obviously the camera and the Acer Liquid S2 brings a 13-megapixel lense on the back with a smart LED ring flash.
However, there's no word about a microSD card slot, which may put some pressure on the 16GB of storage that won't be able to store many ultra-HD quality videos.
Many are expecting to see the Acer Liquid S2 make its debut at IFA 2013 event in Berlin, though it's thought the device will hit Europe at the end of October.
