European Commission Investigating Apple Claims

Apple is being examined by the European Commission after claims have emerged that the company may have influenced mobile phone networks into doing what it wanted.

According to a report, published by the Guardian, the European authority has given mobile networks surveys to complete asking them whether or not they feel they were coerced by Apple into anti-competitive actions.

The carriers are being asked multiple questions, including whether or not they were forced into buying a minimum amount of iPhones and if they had to sell the devices at a higher priority.

It may be difficult for the European Commission to prove Apple is using illegal activity to cement itself as the dominant company in the market, as Samsung actually holds the top position in the continent.

Apple has maintained that its contracts abide by all the necessary laws wherever its phones are sold across the world.
