Enjoy email service after trading-in mobile phone
Consumers who opt to trade-in a mobile phone could ensure they replace it with an Android-powered device in order to enjoy the latest email service from Google.
Simon Arscott and Paul Westbrook of the Gmail for Android team, writing the Google Mobile Blog, explain the search engine's Gmail for Android app has been significantly updated.
It is now no longer reliant on improvements to the operating system and can instead enhance the messaging service's app alone.
Among the first additions are a boost to the reply function and greater access to quoted text.
Other changes to the most recent version of Gmail for Android include the inclusion of important messages across the top of the screen, allowing mobile users instant access to prioritised correspondence.
Earlier this week, Google used its blog to reveal an upgrade to its Google Earth product for those with an Apple iPhone, which includes the ability to view under the sea.
