Elite Mobile launches value phone range

Mobile phone distributor Elite Mobile has launched a range of own-branded handsets, with plans also in the pipeline to produce an Android-powered handset in the coming months.

The devices will be branded under the company's Fonerange brand and the two new models - Fone Easy and Fone Talk & Text - are part of a new business stream aimed at targeting the value end of the market.

Marketing director of the firm Claire Duffield reportedly told Mobile Today that it had identified a gap in the market and there is a great demand for these products.

"The Fone Easy is being targeted at an elderly market and Talk & Text is being aimed at anyone. We want to build a range of devices that will offer something for everyone," she continued.

Earlier this month it was revealed that the world's first smartphone made from bamboo would be launched on to the market in the coming months.
