Drivers could benefit from selling mobile and switching to Nokia N9
Those who spend plenty of time at the wheel might have the most to gain from selling their mobile phones and snapping up a new Nokia N9 handset.
Matthias Mohlig, leader of the research and development for Drive, told Nokia Conversations that plenty of attention was paid to the needs of motorists.
He explained that the provision of navigation aids on the mobile is extensive and is split between two apps – Drive and Maps.
Mr Mohlig noted that the user interface had to be slimmed down and simplified for ultimate efficiency in a car, ideally without compromising the quality of technology on offer.
"It needed to be really easy to view things – because the screen might be at arm's length when mounted in a car. For the same reason, there's big buttons on the screen," he stated.
Nokia recently confirmed the release of the N9, along with three other budget-friendly mobile phones.
