Consumers could trade in mobile for "great" iPad 2

People thinking of trading in their mobile phone in order to snap up the newest tablet device on the market have been reassured the iPad is "great".

Nitin Bhas, author of the latest Juniper Research blog, said the model is faster and more powerful than its predecessor, the original iPad.

Indeed, he noted this is likely to be the first thing many consumers notice upon picking up the product.

While the expert admitted many of the changes adopted in the making of the iPad 2 are not revolutionary, they can be considered obvious progression and include the alterations many wanted to see.

"Overall, the iPad 2 is a great device to own, is very impressive from an engineering perspective and seems sure to retain Apple's market dominance," Mr Bhas concluded.

Apple released the iPad 2 in California in a lavish ceremony last month and it was launched in the UK on March 25th.
