Consumers could 'sell my mobile' in order to invest in white Nokia N9

The launch of the Nokia N9 in white could persuade more consumers to decide "now is the time to sell my mobile".

After unveiling the white colour variant of its N9 smartphone at the Nokia World expo, the Finnish phonemaker revealed today (December 12th) that the device is now on sale.

"Created through a special process, the white version of the Nokia N9 features a high gloss finish that makes the colour shine," the company explained.

The white version comes with 64 GB of internal memory, an eight-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and the same "swipe" interface seen on the other N9 models.

It is priced at €560 (£478) before taxes and subsidies are applied.

Last month, Nokia Siemens Networks revealed its future focus will be on mobile internet services - an approach it believes will help it to increase its profits and retain its market competitiveness in the long term.

Chief executive officer Rajeez Suri said the company is aiming to become an "undisputed leader" in these areas.
