Can HD Voice persuade businesses to sell old mobile phones?

Businesses across the UK may have been given the perfect reason to trade-in mobile phones and invest in a new set of handsets from Orange.

The provider has launched a new service entitled High Definition (HD) Voice, which allows users to enjoy high-quality calls with background noise filtered out and increased clarity.

This could be especially important in business, where clear and detailed conversations are often everyday occurrences and poor communication may be costly.

"We're about bringing people closer together and HD Voice does just that, making business colleagues feel as if they're speaking face to face," explains Martin Striven, vice-president of business at Everything Everywhere, which runs Orange.

He adds it will be allow users to hear the emotion in people's voices and to make calls from places that it was previously impossible to do so.

Orange hit the headlines recently after unveiling a new promotion campaign featuring popular Hollywood actor Jack Black.
