BlackBerry Z10 full touch-screen mobile phone launched
The eagerly anticipated BlackBerry Z10 full touch-screen mobile phone has been officially launched, sporting the manufacturer's new operating system.
BlackBerry 10 (BB10) offers a host of innovations and impressive features, but may struggle to compete against market leaders Android and iOS.
The new handset boasts a 4.2-inch high-resolution display, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 2 GB of RAM.
Users can store apps like Facebook and Angry Birds Star Wars, as well as photographs from the eight-megapixel camera, on 16 GB of internal storage.
There is the opportunity for expansion thanks to a microSD card slot, which will be beneficial to users who take advantage of videos and music available on the revamped BlackBerry World store.
Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology facilitates access to superfast 4G networks, a service which is currently available through the carrier EE in Britain.
Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities mean that users will be able to make contactless payments and share files with friends wirelessly.
