BlackBerry Pledges To Support Mobile Phone Users

People should not be put off the idea of trading in a mobile and switching to a BlackBerry device because of reported problems with the company's network.

Research in Motion (RIM) – which manufactures all BlackBerry models – said yesterday that it will launch an investigation into suggestions that its services were not running properly.

ZDNet reported that the firm later revealed that everything continues to work as normal.

RIM last month experienced significant disturbances to its pages and functions that left many consumers angry.

However, the online publication noted its response this time around was swift and in "stark contrast" to previous issues, indicating the body has learnt from its mistakes.

T-Mobile recently added to its portfolio by releasing the BlackBerry Torch 9810 mobile phone for its customers to acquire.

It noted the phone – as with many BlackBerry devices – is ideal for both social messaging and business communications, such as emails.
