BlackBerry Pearl 3G arrives at 3
18/05/2010
Mobile phone recycling could allow consumers to pick up the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G device.
Available on the 3 network, the candy bar-shaped handset is a revamped version of the popular BlackBerry Pearl, with improved internet technology to make social networking easier.
With a standard mobile phone keypad, the Pearl 3G offers the same functions as a traditional BlackBerry device with the aesthetics of a traditional handset, along with a touch-sensitive optical trackpad, a 3.2-megapixel camera and SureType predictive text.
Sylvia Chind, head of branded devices at 3, said: "The slim-line BlackBerry Pearl 3G is the first Pearl to offer 3G connectivity, making it perfect for our high-speed 3G network."
Mobile phone recycling could also allow 3 customers to choose the new LG Viewty GT, which gives owners a touchscreen, high-speed 3G internet access, Bluetooth 2.0 and a movie and picture editor to use in collaboration with the five-megapixel camera.
